Silage
When feeding silage, farmers may experience the silage heating up, as yeast and mould fungi develop.
Heat generation results in a loss of nutrients and therefore a risk of reduced milk production. Another challenge can be a shortage of forage. This forces dairy farmers to open Silo before the recommended 30 days of ensiling. Early opening can be problematic, as the silage has not completed fermentation and is not yet stable.
Benefits:
Fast fermentation and significantly* better stability in Silo, even when early openning
Reduction of dry matter loss
Reduces the growth of yeast and mould fungi and improves storage stability
Improved aerobic stability during feeding
Pack size:
One 200 g sachet treats 100 tonnes of fresh crop. One box contains 10 × 200 g
Product form: Powder
Solubility: Water-soluble
Shelf life: 18 months from the production date when stored in a freezer at -18°C, 12 months when stored in a cool place at +4°C, and 3 months when stored at >20°C
Instructions for use for maize and cereal whole-crop silage and grass:
One sachet of SiloSolve® FC contains 200 grams of active substance. One sachet is used per 100 tonnes of crop
Apply 2 g of active substance, preferably in 0.2–0.5 litres of water at a maximum temperature of 35°C
Add the mixed silage additive to the tank of the forage harvester and top up with water
Instructions for use for wrapped bales and maize cob silage:
Apply 4 g of active substance, preferably in 1 litre of water at a maximum temperature of 35°C
Good management practices around ensiling:
Good consolidation in Silo
Airtight and rapid covering
In addition, we recommend using a silage additive

SiloSolve® FC is a silage additive that combines the effect of a proven lactic acid bacteria strain, Lactobacillus buchneri, with the unique Lactococcus lactis 0224. This combination provides both rapid initial fermentation and a reduction in dry matter loss, while also slowing the growth of yeast and mould fungi, resulting in improved aerobic stability during feeding.
SiloSolve® FC ensures fast fermentation
As soon as the silo is covered, the environment becomes oxygen-free more quickly, thereby stopping CO₂ production and significantly reducing dry matter loss.

SiloSolve® FC keeps the silage fresher
The growth of yeast and mould fungi is reduced, thereby slowing the loss of nutrients. This helps maintain high and profitable milk production.

This makes SiloSolve® FC a unique product that is suitable for most crops and dry matter contents.
