Great yield potential with NutriFibre Grass Seed
The quality, establishment and management of grass seed are crucial for the health and milk production of your cows.
That is why NutriFibre® grass seed from Barenbrug, which is grass seed of the highest quality for the production of grass silage, is part of the range at Allaboutcows.
NutriFibre® is grass with a strong and extensive root system and easily digestible leaves with a high protein content. With good management of your grass field, there is great yield potential:
Climate-resistant: NutriFibre® can withstand prolonged periods of drought
Maximum protein yield: The total protein and energy production is higher
Efficient utilisation of nutrients: NutriFibre® utilises nutrients efficiently due to its deep root system
Healthier animals: NutriFibre® has fibre-rich leaves that stimulate the cow’s rumination
Sustainability: NutriFibre® grass fields have a lifespan of 4–5 years. This reduces your establishment costs.
Grass mixtures with NutriFibre® provide the optimal forage for the modern dairy farmer. With NutriFibre technology, dairy farmers get a multi-solution for their farm under different conditions.
NutriFibre® uses a lot of energy to develop its root system. Therefore, above-ground development is slower immediately after sowing, which can give weeds a slightly greater opportunity to develop. After the first few cuts, the grass takes over, and success lies ahead.
The cutting time is flexible, as NutriFibre® heads more slowly up to the first cut compared to, for example, perennial ryegrass. NutriFibre® only heads once. This means that you are less dependent on weather conditions and have a greater guarantee of successful, high-quality silage.

Guidelines for establishment and cutting:
Correct establishment is crucial for the results achieved with NutriFibre® over the years. The seeds should be sown in a level seedbed in warm and slightly moist soil at a depth of 1–1.5 cm.
Mixtures with NutriFibre® are sown from mid-March to mid-August.
A good result requires good soil coverage from the start. It is recommended to sow 40–45 kg per hectare.
It is important that the seeds are sown closely together with as small a row spacing as possible.
Pack size:
NutriFibre® grass seed is sold in 15 kg bags.
