The Energy Drink for the freshly calved cow
The dry period is no holiday for either the cow or the dairy farmer. Rather, it is the beginning and preparation for a new lactation, with expectations of another high yield without health problems.
Looking at the cow’s behaviour leading up to and immediately after calving, it is likely that she gets too little fluid and therefore also has reduced feed intake, because her full focus is on calving.
The consequences can be retained placenta and milk fever, as well as lower milk production during lactation.
It can be a challenge to get the cow to drink without forcing her, but AAC Cow Drink can help solve the problem.
